Crime Scenes

All of the Detectives in the Criminal Investigations Division are able to collect evidence and process crime scenes but we currently have three Detectives that are able to do more advanced evidence gathering and are certified through the Division of Forensic Science in Richmond Virginia.  These investigators are able to respond to any type scene and collect and package all types of trace evidence that may be critical to the case and its prosecution.  These individuals are routinely used and called on during larger, higher profile cases.  They also regularly assist patrol with evidence collection and packaging.
