General Assignment

These detectives handle the more complex cases reported to our Office.They handle both person crimes, property crimes and any overflow cases from the other specialty sections.The types of cases handled by this section include: larcenies, burglaries, robberies, auto theft, rape, various malicious assault type cases, and homicides to name a few.Most cases which will involve extensive investigation or follow-up, suspects and witnesses out of our jurisdiction, extensive forensic and / or evidence gathering, etc. are assigned to this section of the Criminal Investigations Division.
