Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s detectives solved a string of vehicle larcenies and recovered a stolen auto last night with the arrest of two adult males and a juvenile. The adults are identified as Matthew L. Truslow, 22 and Richard M. Brown, 21, both of Spotsylvania County. The 17 year old juvenile was released to parents.
These suspects have been linked by detectives to over 30 vehicle break-ins and one stolen auto in Spotsylvania County. The recovered stolen property is primarily from the Fawn Lake, Fox Chase and Lake Wilderness 1 and 2 neighborhoods.
According to Sheriff Roger L. Harris, “this is the third larceny ring that our detectives and patrol deputies have dismantled in the last two months”. “Our deputies take this type of crime very seriously and we have spent long hours investigating these criminal activities and uncovering the identities of the suspects”.
A large amount of property has been recovered and detectives will be combing through the items to identify the owners and return their property to its rightful place.
