At approximately 1:00am, on March 30,2013 Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting call at Q-ball café, located at 960 Bragg Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Marcellus Greene, a security employee from the club, lying fatally wounded in front of the main entrance.
Witnesses reported that an altercation erupted between two groups attending the rap concert at the club. One group was ejected from the business by club personnel and later became involved in another altercation in the parking lot. Shortly thereafter, the subjects drove by the club and fired several shots at the front of the establishment, striking one employee who died at the scene.
Investigation by detectives from the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office and the Fredericksburg Police Department resulted in the identification of three suspects in the shooting death of Mr. Greene. On March 30, 2013 Lavon Chew of Spotsylvania County was taken into custody on several felony charges related to the shooting. Detectives have also identified Chauncey Cartier Lampkin, 27 of Spotsylvania and David Davion Burroughs, 25 of Stafford as additional suspects in the shooting death of Mr. Greene.
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating these two subjects, who are wanted on numerous charges related to the shooting death of Mr. Greene. The Sheriff’s Office encourages the public not to approach these individuals, but to contact the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office or dial 911 if you know their location.
